Topic Voting & Lightning Talk Submissions are now OPEN

Hooray! We are now on to step #2 in preparation for STELLA 2020.  Remember, since this is an Unconference, you drive the agenda and the choice of discussion topics. This means there will be a few things for you to do leading up to Oct 9th so that your voice is heard.

First, you’ll want to vote for which topics you’re most interested in discussing. You can vote for up to six different topics. This will drive the topics listed for the discussion rooms. Next week, a sign up process will begin for the discussion rooms of your choice, which will translate to breakout rooms in Zoom.

Secondly, now is your chance to submit abstracts for lightning talks to be held during the mid-day break. The deadline is Sept 24th for abstract and title submissions.  We will have a cap of 15 lightning talks with each talk a maximum of 3 minutes long and only 1 slide.  If we have more than 15 people submitting abstracts for lightning talks, we will do a random selection and let you know by September 25th if you were chosen to present.

Here is timeline of the tasks to be on the look-out for:

Sept 18-24: Vote on your favorite topics & Submit Lightning Talk Proposal

Open NOW  Vote for your topics!

And  Submit Your Lightning Talk abstracts

Sept 28-Oct 2: Sign up for the discussion room of your choice for each session
