The University of Iowa in Iowa City is excited to host the next STELLA Unconference, taking place on Friday, October 21 – Saturday, October 22, 2022. This free event welcomes current or aspiring science, technology, engineering and medical/health librarians and those interested in STEM librarianship! In the unconference spirit, YOU will drive the agenda and determine what discussions and breakouts will take place. It’s a great chance to discuss and learn about current topics relevant to STEM librarianship.

Previous STELLA meetings have attracted STEM librarians from all over the world. However, we recognize that there are concerns with limited travel these days.

Please help us with our planning by taking a moment to fill out this interest survey

We would appreciate a response by Friday, December 17th.

If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us at stellaunconference@gmail.com.

Keynote speaker this year – Amy Buckland

This year, we will have a keynote speaker.  Amy Buckland has agreed to help kick off our unconference with a talk on something very important.  We are not sure what the topic is yet, but we know that she will find something interesting for us to think about.  The rest of the conference will be set in the traditional unconference style.

If you are not familiar with Amy, you can watch or listen to some of her past presentations.  (She is the eScholarship, ePublishing & Digitization Coordinator at McGill University Library.)

We will post a Google Doc page so that people can start to sign up for the unconference. Please add your email.  You could edit the email so that it won’t be scraped by spammers (such as jane dot smith at the g mail dot com.)  See you all later this fall.
